About Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a great school in South Liverpool starting as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting.
1:1 Teaching Assistant

- Hours: 8:30 am β 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum.
- Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student\βs individual needs.
- Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.
- Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Able to work collaboratively with staff
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.
To be eligible
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional references/cover the last 2 years
