1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Prospero Teaching is currently working with a ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted-rated SEMH School in Bournemouth, Dorset. We are seeking experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a childs educational journey, personal development, and overall wellbeing, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that encourages success and confidence. Your key responsibilities will include: Building positive relationships to provide emotional support and promote resilience. Assisting with individualised learning plans based on EHCPs and SEMH best practices. Encouraging participation in lessons and providing alternative approaches when needed. Promoting the childs social skills, including teamwork and conflict resolution. Supporting behavioural management using positive reinforcement techniques.
