About the Role: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to a pupil's individual learning and emotional needs. You will help the pupil engage in class activities, develop confidence, and progress both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs.
  • Assist with delivering targeted interventions and differentiated activities.
  • Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Support social and emotional development throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.
  • Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting children with additional or special educational needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
