1:1 SEN Tutor – Key Stage 2, 3 & 4 | Blaydon

Prospero Teaching works in partnership with Local Authorities, SEND teams, and education providers to deliver high-quality, personalised tuition for young people who require additional support or are unable to attend mainstream education.

We are currently looking for experienced SEN Tutors to support students across KS2 to KS4 in the Blaydon area, delivering tailored tuition in English and Maths.

About the Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will provide one-to-one or small group support to students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other Special Educational Needs. Every learner has their own individual strengths and challenges, so you'll create engaging, personalised lessons that are designed to meet their specific learning goals.

Pay: up to £30 per hour (DOE)

Hours: up to 15 per week per student

Location: Blaydon

Duration: Ongoing

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support students’ academic and emotional development
  • Track progress and provide feedback to parents and professionals
  • Complete basic attendance and progress reports

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS4)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Two years of verifiable references
