We are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Support Assistants to work across primary schools in Irlam, Salford. This role involves supporting individual pupils with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis, helping them access learning and feel confident in the classroom.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in a child's education and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Assist the class teacher in delivering learning activities and managing behaviour
- Adapt learning materials to meet the individual pupil's needs
- Monitor and report progress to the SENCO and class teacher
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Previous experience working 1:1 with children with SEN (in schools or similar settings)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Two recent, relevant references
- Patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Competitive daily rate: GBP105-GBP115
- Immediate start with long-term placements available
