Are you passionate about inspiring students and helping them unlock their potential in Maths and English? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths and English Tutor to join our team, delivering personalised, one-to-one support to learners in Waltham Forest.

About the Role

As a Maths and English Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic progress and confidence. Sessions will be conducted in the student’s home or at a mutually agreed location, offering flexibility to choose morning, afternoon, or evening sessions. This is a temporary, part-time position, with hours ranging from 1 to 30 per week, depending on your availability and the student’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Maths and English, tailored to individual learning objectives.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to maximise understanding and engagement.
  • Provide constructive feedback to parents, carers, or schools to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support students with a range of learning styles and abilities, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Maths or English.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A current enhanced DBS check or willingness to undertake one.

  • A teaching qualification, such as QTS or PGCE, in Maths or English.
