Shift Pattern: 8am‑8pm Day / 8pm‑8am Night / 8am‑11pm + Sleep.

About the role

As a Children & Young People’s Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people within residential settings and the community. Working with at least a 2:1 staffing ratio, you’ll be ensuring safety, stability, and quality care always.

You’ll be:

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Supporting daily routines (from school runs and appointments to bedtimes and activities).
  • Encouraging independence and personal development.
  • Keeping accurate daily records (emotions, routines, activities, food diaries, and more).
  • Helping manage money responsibly and keeping receipts.
  • Identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns.
  • Handling behaviour that challenges with patience, resilience, and confidence.

What we’re looking for:

  • A caring, professional, and non‑judgemental attitude.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail when writing notes and reports.
  • Experience in social care or similar roles (advantageous but not essential).
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred).
  • A valid DBS (we can help you apply).
  • A driver’s licence is a bonus as locations vary.
