Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting experienced Primary Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Cheshire East. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who have previous experience working with primary-aged children and can make a positive impact in the classroom from day one.
Primary Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within whole-class lessons
Assist class teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning activities
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
Help children remain focused, motivated and engaged throughout the school day
Foster a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment
Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
Follow all safeguarding, behaviour and school policies
Primary Teaching Assistant - Requirements
Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
Two professional references covering the last two years
Clear CV history with explanations for any employment or study gaps
Previous experience working with primary-aged children is essential
Experience within a UK primary school, nursery, childcare, youth work or care setting is required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
