Prospero Teaching are working in partnership with a highly regarded mainstream secondary school in Stockport who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from January 2027. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-established Maths department within a school that places high expectations on academic achievement, behaviour, and personal development. Rate of Pay: GBP162.31 - GBP251.71 per day (dependant on MPS/UPS)
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
THE ROLE
Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
Foster a positive and productive learning environment.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school.
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
ECTs are encouraged to apply.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
