Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are working closely with a number of fantastic SEND schools and specialist provisions across Barking Dagenham and are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join our growing team. Whether you have previous experience in SEND education, care, support work, youth work, or specialist school settings, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech Language Needs
- Learning Difficulties
- Physical Disabilities
- Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting pupils in accessing learning activities
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
- Helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment
