SEND Teaching Assistant

Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Barking and Dagenham Salary: £100-110 per day We are excited present an exceptional opportunity for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant at a ASD school in Barking and Dagenham. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially those facing behavioural, social, and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to students with SEN, including those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. Implement tailored strategies to address individual Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives. Facilitate differentiated learning to support diverse abilities, helping students to access the curriculum in a way that meets their needs. Support a nurturing and structured environment, promoting positive behaviour management and emotional regulation techniques. Work collaboratively with SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), class teachers, and other support staff to enhance individual learning outcomes. Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions aimed at improving both academic and emotional resilience.
