As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the smooth daily operations of the nursery, lead a dedicated team, and play an active role in the growth and development of all children. You’ll work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for both children and staff. Flexible shifts between 8:00-18:00 Monday-Friday. 50 weeks per year (Not term time) Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a passionate team of early years professionals. Support room leaders, ensuring that daily routines are followed, and children’s development is documented. Provide guidance and development opportunities to junior staff. Implement the BLS Learning Programme to support children’s growth and learning. Track the progress of all children and identify areas to stretch and challenge. Ensure high standards safeguarding and health & safety standards are maintained. Support children and families through the settling-in process and ongoing learning. Ensure staff deployment meets legal ratios and operational needs. Contribute to the success of the nursery, ensuring excellent standards and a positive, supportive work environment.
