Youth Mentor
Location - Manchester (M22)
Pay - Β£505-Β£550 per week, depending on experience
Start Date - 03/09/2026
Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you a calm, resilient individual with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently working with a specialist, Pupil Referral Unit in the Manchester area, looking to recruit an experienced youth mentor to join their welcoming team.
As a Youth Mentor, you will:
- Offer both 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Maintain regular communication with parents and carers to monitor progress
- Provide both academic and emotional support, to encourage pupils to reach their full potential
What we are looking for:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired but training can be provided
- Previous experience supporting SEMH, in a community or school based role
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional child-related references
