Prospero Teaching is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for a well-established and nurturing Nursery setting in Streatham, Lambeth. The nursery is highly regarded within the local community for its welcoming environment, child-centred approach, and commitment to providing high-quality early years education. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing while helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Streatham, Lambeth
  • Type of Work: Supporting children's learning and development, planning and delivering engaging activities, observing and assessing progress, and ensuring high standards of care within the nursery setting
  • Start Date: November 2026
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Full time/part time: Part time / 4 Days/w (Mon to Thurs)
  • Rate of Pay: GBP27,500 per annum
  • Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (essential)
  • Previous experience working within a Nursery, Preschool, or Early Years setting (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Experience planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to support children's learning and development
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection requirements
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Provide two recent professional references covering the last two years
