Learning Support Assistant - 1:1 SEND
Location: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
Daily Rate: Β£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, term-time
Start: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) .
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND/Inclusion team to support the student's academic progress, confidence, independence and inclusion within school life. The original specification specifically asks for experience supporting autistic pupils on a 1:1 basis, sensory needs and SEND across primary/secondary ages. LSA (linked to a named student β¦
The Role
You will:
Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Follow and support targets within the student's EHCP
Support learning across lessons and adapt resources where required
Help the student develop greater independence and confidence
Support pupils with Autism and sensory needs
Use appropriate behaviour and engagement strategies
Deliver targeted interventions when required
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEND staff
Support the student's inclusion socially and academically
