The predicted salary is between 15.3 - 18.7 Β£ per hour.

We are currently seeking a second tutor to join an existing provision and work alongside another tutor to support a young person in the BA7 area. This is a 2:1 provision funded by the Local Authority, delivered within a community-based setting, and is expected to be ongoing.

Provision Details

  • Location: BA7 Area
  • Hours: 6 hours per week

The young person has diagnoses of:

  • Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

The young person also presents with significant:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • History of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Attachment difficulties
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Vulnerability to disengagement from education
  • Low self-esteem and poor self-image
  • Difficulties trusting others and forming positive relationships

There is also a historical pattern of inappropriate language and physical responses during conflict.

The successful tutor must:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working within education
  • Have demonstrable experience supporting learners with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Have experience implementing trauma-informed and relational approaches
  • Be able to support emotional regulation and emotional literacy development

The young person requires:

  • Structured emotional literacy interventions
  • Consistent routines and relationship-based practice
  • Structured, evidence-based interventions in literacy and maths
  • Frequent revisiting and reinforcement of learning to support retention and progress
