The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 Β£ per hour.

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Billingshurst, West Sussex, supporting Key Stage 3 students with Social, Communication and/or Language Needs (SCLN). Many of the young people attending the provision have transitioned from mainstream primary schools and thrive within a smaller, more nurturing secondary environment where they can receive the individual support needed to succeed both academically and personally.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who:

  • Are patient, caring and understanding
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Are confident supporting social, communication and emotional development
  • Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
  • Enjoy helping young people develop confidence and independence

Contract Details

  • Location: Billingshurst, West Sussex
  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Temporary and ongoing opportunities
  • Duration: Short-term and long-term placements available
  • Full Time / Part Time: Both considered
  • Hours: School hours
  • Pay: Competitive hourly rate

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
  • A calm, supportive and encouraging manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent reliability and attendance
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
