Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Billingshurst, West Sussex, supporting Key Stage 3 students with Social, Communication and/or Language Needs (SCLN). Many of the young people attending the provision have transitioned from mainstream primary schools and thrive within a smaller, more nurturing secondary environment where they can receive the individual support needed to succeed both academically and personally.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who:
- Are patient, caring and understanding
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Are confident supporting social, communication and emotional development
- Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
- Enjoy helping young people develop confidence and independence
Contract Details

Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
- A calm, supportive and encouraging manner
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent reliability and attendance
- Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
