Prospero Teaching are working with an outstanding Primary School in Sunderland who are looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with SEN in Key Stage 2. This role is to start from January 2025 for the rest of the academic year. This role is for the full academic year with the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent for the appropriate candidate. Pay rate is negotiable depending on experience. The role will involve supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 basis, so the successful candidate will need to be a resilient practitioner and have excellent relationship-building skills. The school is a brilliantly supportive, inspiring, and enjoyable environment for both students and staff. This is a role that will give you the opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of children every day. This role will involve: Supporting a pupil with SEN and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
