About the Role
We are a specialist Audio-Visual integrator delivering bespoke, high-quality AV solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced AV Engineer to join our installation and service engineering team. As an AV Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically excellent, right-first-time solutions for our customers. This is a field-based role, primarily covering the wider North West, with regular UK travel as projects require. A fully equipped company van is provided to support you in the role.
The Role
You will work closely with our Engineering Management team, Chief Engineer and Project Managers, bringing a smart, commercial mindset to every project - ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. The role involves travel across your region and wider UK projects, with overnight stays typically between 1-4 nights per week, depending on project requirements. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered. In return, you'll enjoy autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a real impact on technically interesting and meaningful AV projects.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality AV installations from 1st fix through to commissioning
- Lead and support on-site installation teams delivering bespoke AV solutions
- Oversee off-site prefabrication and on-site system builds
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert-level support
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and health & safety requirements
- Develop and improve engineering best practices, processes and documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
- Stay up to date with emerging AV technologies and contribute to technical roadmaps
- Act as a subject-matter expert in one or more core AV technologies
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a right-first-time engineering mindset
