We are seeking a proactive and skilled Service Technician Team Leader to join our Technical Services team. This role is responsible for providing professional field servicing, bench repairs, and commissioning of integrated lighting systems within the Broadcast, Leisure, Corporate, and Entertainment industries. You will work closely with colleagues and customers to ensure the solutions offered meet the requirements of our Service Agreements and customer expectations. As the Service Technician Team Leader, you will assist the Technical Services Manager in maintaining quality and standards across all projects, ensuring both technical and commercial excellence. While this role does not involve line management responsibilities, you will play a key role in supporting the team and helping them deliver high‑quality services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Training & Development: Assist the Technical Services Manager in identifying and monitoring external training courses for engineers to ensure the department remains at the forefront of technical knowledge. Help develop internal training programs to share expertise across the team.
- Service Improvement: Collaborate with the team to ensure lessons learned from commissioning and servicing activities are applied to future projects. Participate in regular meetings to discuss site reports and service feedback to improve engineering solutions.
- Repair & Service Management: Monitor and ensure the efficient workflow and quality of bench repairs. Support the preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and service plans for on‑site activities.
- Process Development: Assist in the design and implementation of new departmental processes and service methods. Test and provide feedback on new procedures to improve efficiency.
- Cross‑Department Support: Provide technical support and advice to other departments within the company. Ensure the team’s workspace is well‑maintained and consumables are appropriately stocked.
- Technical Support & Documentation: Work with the Technical Services Manager to ensure timely and accurate service documentation and reports are issued.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the field of technical service, ideally within the broadcast, entertainment, or corporate sectors.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with experience in integrated lighting systems.
- Strong with ETC lighting consoles and repair work.
- Familiarity with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and provide support across multiple departments.
