Senior Event and Conference Centre Technician π Location: London (Onsite) π Job Type: Full-Time | Shift-based, including out-of-hours coverage πΌ Salary: Competitive, based on experience + excellent benefits package This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is confident working directly with senior executives and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead & Support Team: Supervise and support a team of technicians, including managing rotas, training, and ensuring high team morale and performance. Event Management: Take ownership of live events, including large-scale presentations, town halls, and executive meetings in integrated AV spaces. AV Systems Operation: Set up and operate audio, video, and lighting systems (both digital and analogue). Video Conferencing: Manage VC/AC calls using platforms and hardware such as Zoom, Cisco, and Polycom β from scheduling and testing to live support and monitoring. Equipment & Maintenance: Prepare equipment for events, carry out 1st/2nd line fixes, preventative maintenance, and liaise with the Breakfix team where required. Client Liaison: Act as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders, senior executives, and external contractors or vendors. Technical Administration: Maintain records, manage tickets, and support scheduling through room booking systems and Microsoft Office tools. Live Streaming & Recording: Support livestreaming operations when required, ensuring high production quality. Quality Control: Ensure the optimal visual and audio presentation of all content and event delivery. Site Coverage: Provide flexible support across other locations as needed (occasional travel outside London). What We\βre Looking For Proven experience in a senior AV or event technician role within a corporate or conference centre environment. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of AV/VC equipment and platforms (Zoom, Cisco, Polycom). Competency in setting up and supporting livestreams and hybrid events. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with AV ticketing systems. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Calm under pressure with a proactive and professional approach. Flexibility to work shifts and support out-of-hours events. Experience in liaising with senior stakeholders and providing white-glove service. A self-starter with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
