We’re now looking for talented individuals to join our scenic production team! You’ll be hands‑on, working on the construction and assembly of bespoke scenic elements and sets. This fast‑paced, creative role will use your carpentry skills to bring event designs to life. From preparation to finishing touches, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all scenic elements are prepped, painted, and ready for transport and assembly. Attention to detail and experience in scenic work is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, assemble, and install scenic sets and props for live events and corporate functions.
- Work with a variety of materials, ensuring high‑quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Prep and finish scenic elements for events, including painting, treating, and assembling components to meet the requirements of the design team and event timeline.
- Oversee the organization of the warehouse, manage the logistics of moving materials, supervise and support the team, and ensure all scenic assets are stored and maintained properly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in scenic production for live events, corporate events, or theatre.
- Strong carpentry skills (for carpenters), or experience with prepping, painting, and finishing scenic elements (for prep technicians).
- For Warehouse Supervisors/Managers, experience managing a team and organising scenic warehouse operations is a must.
- A good understanding of scenic build processes, including the construction and installation of event set designs.
- Familiarity with various materials and construction techniques used in scenic production.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and adapt to the fast‑paced nature of event production.
- Commutable to Thornton Heath, or willing to relocate.
- Experience working on high‑profile corporate events or large‑scale live productions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the scenic production environment.
- Strong team‑player with good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve on site during builds.
