We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Sales Manager to join our team at a prestigious London venue. This exciting and fast-paced role requires an individual who can guide prospective clients through the technical aspects of their events, from concept to delivery, ensuring that every event exceeds expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and overseeing the technical management of events.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels.
- Sales Development: Actively seek out sales opportunities, upsell additional services, and meet sales targets.
- Event Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of events and conferences, including budgeting, planning, and billing.
- Live Event Supervision: Supervise the technical aspects of live events to ensure smooth execution.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with external third-party providers to source equipment and technical labour as needed.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Marketing and Promotion: Promote the company’s services to potential clients and at industry events.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
- Potential Line Management: Opportunity to take on line management responsibilities as the role develops.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in sales and a strong ability to close deals.
- 2+ years of events production experience with hands-on technical knowledge, especially in Lighting, Audio, Projection, and LED.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and managerial skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience managing people is advantageous but not required.
