Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development & Implementation
- Translate the CEO's vision into concrete hardware and software solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Design, develop, and test both hardware and embedded software for new and existing products.
- Oversee the integration of hardware and software to ensure seamless performance and functionality.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and proof-of-concept development for new product ideas.
- Technical Coordination & Project Management
- Manage all aspects of product development, collaborating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
- Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure smooth product lifecycle management.
- Innovation & Research
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor advancements to drive product innovation.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing products and develop new solutions.
- Ensure that all products meet relevant industry standards and certifications.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Production, and Support teams to ensure smooth product rollouts.
- Document engineering processes, designs, and test results for internal use and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on new products and technologies.
Skills
Essential:
- Proven experience in hardware and software engineering, ideally within the Pro AV, electronics, or embedded systems sectors.
- Strong background in embedded systems development, including firmware programming (C/C++, Python, or similar).
- Expertise in hardware design, including PCB layout, circuit design, and microcontroller-based systems.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, AV signal distribution, or control systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) and experience in taking products from concept to market.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with compliance testing and certification processes.
Desirable:
- Experience with FPGA programming, DSP, or real-time embedded systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for hardware design.
- Knowledge of AV-over-IP, HDBaseT, or similar AV transmission technologies.
