The Opportunity
A growing events company is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV professional to work across a variety of live, hybrid and virtual corporate events, using the latest event technology while developing their technical skills and progressing their career.
The Role
As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of AV equipment, helping to ensure events are delivered smoothly and to a high professional standard.
Your responsibilities will include
- Setting up and operating AV equipment for live, hybrid and virtual conferences and events.
- Operating camera, video and IT equipment.
- Supporting live streaming and virtual event productions.
- Working with Blackmagic ATEM systems.
- Editing and delivering video footage to a high standard, preferably using Da Vinci Resolve.
- Liaising with clients, colleagues and event crews before and during events.
- Preparing, testing and maintaining AV equipment.
- Driving company vehicles to event locations.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems quickly and professionally.
- Working independently when required, as well as effectively as part of a team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced AV professional with a background in the corporate live events sector.
You will ideally have
- Experience working in live corporate events.
- Strong camera, video and IT skills.
- Experience with live streaming and ideally Blackmagic ATEM.
- Experience with video editing software, preferably Da Vinci Resolve.
- Excellent knowledge of Power Point, Keynote, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- A professional appearance and manner.
- A flexible, positive and can-do attitude.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
Applicants must be based locally to the Manchester area.
Working Hours
The standard working pattern is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm.
Due to the nature of the live events industry, flexibility is essential. Some evening, early morning and weekend work will be required depending on the event schedule.
