We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established lighting company supplying the theatre, TV, film and events sectors. They're looking for a hands-on Production Manager/Technical Lead to oversee job prep, warehouse operations, crew coordination and on-site technical work.
You’ll manage planning calendars, transport logistics, job documentation, stock control and the smooth running of the warehouse team. The role also includes working at height, basic electrical repairs, equipment maintenance and leading installations on site. This is a small, friendly business known across the UK and internationally for its specialist work - a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Planning: Coordinate transport, maintain planning calendars, confirm site access and prepare job packs.
- Technical Work: Lead on-site installations, rigging and working at height; carry out equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Warehouse Leadership: Oversee stock prep/returns, maintain digital inventory and implement simple SOPs.
- Crew Support: Maintain crew availability, assist with briefs and support welfare planning.
- Strong technical background (lighting, AV, theatre or rigging).
- Confident working at height with solid H&S awareness.
- Highly organised with good IT skills.
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable managing multiple moving parts.
- Full UK driving licence; flexible for early starts/weekends in peak season.
