An established AV integration company is seeking an experienced Freelance AV Programmer to support a range of high-end commercial and residential projects. This role offers flexible freelance work, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting AV control systems across a variety of client environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and commissioning AV control systems including Crestron, Savant, AMX, and Extron
- Customising user interfaces for touch panels, keypads, and mobile devices
- Integrating AV systems with third-party devices (lighting control, HVAC, video conferencing, etc.)
- Testing and troubleshooting software and hardware configurations on-site
- Working from technical drawings and system schematics
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth handover
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an AV Programmer across commercial and/or residential projects
- Proficiency in programming Crestron (SIMPL/SIMPL+, VTPro-e), AMX (Netlinx), Extron, and Savant systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to commission systems independently
- Full set of tools and laptop/software licences (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines
- ECS/CSCS certification (preferred)
- Availability for immediate or short-notice start
