Exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate AV Events Technician with a preferred background in audio to deliver technical solutions across in-person, hybrid and virtual events, conferences, live streams, podcasts, etc. You'll work collaboratively as part of a team of AV Technicians and be at the heart of a fast-growing events team with plenty of opportunities for professional growth.

The role:

  • You will work with an internal team of Event Producers, Project Managers, Designers, and Video Producers as well as freelance production crew in the UK, US, and Europe to deliver audio, video and live-streaming solutions for our clients.

Delivery:

  • Operate and maintain professional video, lighting and audio equipment.
  • Manage physical inventory.
  • Transport and setup of audio, video, and lighting equipment as required.
  • Some knowledge of vMix and other digital live-streaming applications.
  • Coordinate crew and equipment as needed.
  • Ability to spot points of failure and have suitable contingencies in place.
  • Assist staff with pulling, staging, and striking audio/visual equipment for events.
  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Assess technical and on-site health and safety risks, be alert for live issues on event days and be primed to react accordingly.

Must have experience:

  • 2-4+ years of AV production or broadcast industry experience.
  • Proficient in audio equipment; Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Sennheiser, etc.
  • Ability to set up and ring out a PA.
  • Knowledge/understanding of wireless microphone systems.
  • Proficient in video equipment; Roland, Blackmagic Design, etc.
  • Knowledge of different video standards.
  • Technical knowledge of common video equipment and common workflows.

Ideal experience:

  • Knowledge and experience operating a variety of large and small-scale audio events.
  • Experience in streaming, vMix, RTMP, SRT, NDI, etc.
  • Video cameras and film lighting knowledge.
  • Proficient in lighting equipment; uplighters, moving head, and stationary lights.
