Exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate AV Events Technician with a preferred background in audio to deliver technical solutions across in-person, hybrid and virtual events, conferences, live streams, podcasts, etc. You’ll work collaboratively as part of a team of AV Technicians and be at the heart of a fast-growing events team with plenty of opportunities for professional growth.
Delivery
- Operate and maintain professional video, lighting and audio equipment
- Manage physical inventory
- Transport and setup of audio, video, and lighting equipment as required
- Some knowledge of vMix and other digital live-streaming applications
- Coordinate crew and equipment as needed
- Ability to spot points of failure and have suitable contingencies in place
- Assist staff with pulling, staging, and striking audio/visual equipment for events
- Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Assess technical and on-site health and safety risks, be alert for live issues on event days and be primed to react accordingly
Must have experience:
- ~2-4+ years of AV production or broadcast industry experience
- ~Proficient in audio equipment; Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Sennheiser, etc.
- ~Ability to set up and ring out a PA
- ~Knowledge/understanding of wireless microphone systems
- ~Proficient in video equipment; Roland, Blackmagic Design, etc.
- ~Knowledge of different video standards
- ~Technical knowledge of common video equipment and common workflows
Ideal experience:
- Knowledge and experience operating a variety of large and small-scale audio events
- Experience in streaming, vMix, RTMP, SRT, NDI, etc.
- Video cameras and film lighting knowledge
- Proficient in lighting equipment; uplighters, moving head, and stationary lights
