Exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate AV Events Technician with a preferred background in audio to deliver technical solutions across in-person, hybrid and virtual events, conferences, live streams, podcasts, etc. You’ll work collaboratively as part of a team of AV Technicians and be at the heart of a fast-growing events team with plenty of opportunities for professional growth.

Delivery

  • Operate and maintain professional video, lighting and audio equipment
  • Manage physical inventory
  • Transport and setup of audio, video, and lighting equipment as required
  • Some knowledge of vMix and other digital live-streaming applications
  • Coordinate crew and equipment as needed
  • Ability to spot points of failure and have suitable contingencies in place
  • Assist staff with pulling, staging, and striking audio/visual equipment for events
  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Assess technical and on-site health and safety risks, be alert for live issues on event days and be primed to react accordingly

Must have experience:

  • ~2-4+ years of AV production or broadcast industry experience
  • ~Proficient in audio equipment; Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Sennheiser, etc.
  • ~Ability to set up and ring out a PA
  • ~Knowledge/understanding of wireless microphone systems
  • ~Proficient in video equipment; Roland, Blackmagic Design, etc.
  • ~Knowledge of different video standards
  • ~Technical knowledge of common video equipment and common workflows

Ideal experience:

  • Knowledge and experience operating a variety of large and small-scale audio events
  • Experience in streaming, vMix, RTMP, SRT, NDI, etc.
  • Video cameras and film lighting knowledge
  • Proficient in lighting equipment; uplighters, moving head, and stationary lights
