You will be working in the Cardiff location in the residentialservice that is passionate about making changes and enhancing young people’s lives.
This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals.
You will support children and young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.
Requirements for the role
- Child-centred approach to care
- Previous experience withinchildrensocial care or transferableskill role is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- NVQLevel 3 Health and Social Care/Children and young people
- Basic understanding of children'shuman rights and safeguarding is essential.
What the role will include
- Supporting children and young adults between the ages of 0-18 years old with complex needs/or behavioural and emotional disorders.
- To safeguard andsupport the well-being of the children and young adults.
- Adhering to strict health and safety practice to ensure thewelfareof the children and young people
- Buildinga good rapport with the children and young adults as well as their families
- Writingaccurateand detailed reports
- Keepingup to date with thechildren’sand young people’s care plans and riskassessments
- Adopting a child-centred approach to provide the best care to children and young people with complex health / emotional needs
- Waking nights (8pm-8am)
- Sleep ins (8pm-8am)

- Mileage paid for own vehicle if Business Insurance is provided and in place.
- Free mandatory online training as part of our compliance process.
- Practical training provided free if applicable for placement including the Team Teach certificate
- 24/7 contact available from on-call Consultants through day and night
- Weekly pay.
