About the Role: We are currently recruiting experienced and resilient Children's Support Workers to join a secure unit in Peterborough. This is a highly rewarding role supporting vulnerable children and young people with complex needs in a structured and secure environment. You will play a key role in promoting safety, stability, and positive behavioural outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and supervision within a secure setting
- Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs
- Safely manage challenging behaviours in line with training and policies
- Build professional, trusting relationships with young people
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plans
- Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months' UK experience working with children or young people
- Valid restraint training (e.g. MAPA, CPI, or equivalent) - essential
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
