Role: Support Worker

Location: Across the North West of England and North Wales

Pay: £15 – £20ph

Hours:

Long days (8am – 11pm) and sleep in
Shorter day shifts with varied times
12 hour shifts 8am – 8pm or 8pm – 8am

About the role

These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of Mental Health issues. You will be required to have experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2 to 1 basis.

Duties include:

You will be required to ensure that children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care possible and to assist them reaching their fullest potential.
To ensure children\’s safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times
To provide high standard help, care and support
To enable clients / families or children and young people (as appropriate) to enjoy a range of food and support them to buy their food from various places including markets/ super markets or specialist shops

The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:

Challenging & aggressive behaviour
Learning disability
Autistic xiskglj Spectrum Condition
ADHD
Personality Disorder
Self-Injury
M.H diagnosis
Victims of the range of abuses
Inappropriate behaviours

Criteria for these roles are:

Child and Adult DBS – on the update service
Previous Experience in a similar role
NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential)
References covering the last 3 years
