Prospero Health and Social Care is currently recruiting professionals to provide support to children in the Leeds area. We are looking for dedicated support workers with a positive and committed attitude to going the extra mile to ensure a positive and safe experience for children. Please note, we are currently offering flexible/part-time roles rather than full-time positions.
Key Requirements:
- 12 months of paid UK experience in the health and social care sector - at least 2 references
- Proven experience working with children in the UK
- Flexibility to travel within the area and adapt to varying shift patterns, including weekends and night shifts - good availability
- Resilience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable young people
- NVQ Level 3 in children and young people is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be registered with Social Care - DBS in the updated service
What are we expecting you to do as a support worker:
- Ensure a supportive experience for children, especially in sensitive situations like post-domestic abuse/neglect
- Write reports every session analysing the attitudes and interactions
- Monitor children's mood and make sure they are safe at all times
Additional Details:
- Driving licence is preferred
- This role requires in-person attendance
