Prospero Health & Social Care is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Newhaven, East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading a child-centred service, ensuring the home delivers exceptional care, maintains the highest safeguarding standards, and remains fully compliant with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the home, leading and developing a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care, maintaining staffing levels, promoting positive outcomes, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Responsible Individual and Quality & Compliance Manager, you will oversee regulatory compliance, manage safeguarding responsibilities, implement effective care planning, and ensure the home is always inspection-ready. You will also build positive relationships with local authorities, education providers, healthcare professionals, families, and other partner agencies to ensure children receive the best possible support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's residential care, excellent leadership and safeguarding experience, and a thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Regulations. You'll be a confident and resilient leader with a passion for improving outcomes for children and developing high-performing teams.
