We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with children and young people across Milton Keynes in both regulated and unregulated settings. This is a rewarding and dynamic role supporting vulnerable children and young people with a range of needs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within children's services and be confident managing challenging behaviours while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Work within regulated and unregulated settings in line with policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Support young people with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities
  • Encourage engagement in structured and recreational activities
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment at all times
  • Complete accurate daily records, incident reports, and handovers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children and young people (essential)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
  • Good communication and report-writing skills
  • Flexible and reliable with availability for varied shift patterns

Desirable

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred due to travel requirements)
  • Restraint training (preferred)
  • Experience in residential, supported living, or similar settings
