About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Childrens Residential Home Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of two childrens residential homes in the Wembley and Edgware areas. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking to progress their career within residential childcare.

You will play a key role in supporting young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs, while leading shifts and supporting staff teams to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading shifts and supporting Residential Support Workers
  • Ensuring young people receive consistent, safe, and person-centred care
  • Supporting and managing challenging behaviours in line with care plans
  • Assisting with staff supervision, mentoring, and guidance
  • Maintaining safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance
  • Working across two residential homes as required

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a childrens residential care setting
  • Experience in a senior or team leader role (or strong step-up experience)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Confidence working with challenging behaviours
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Restraint training (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
