You'll be supporting a wonderful 34-year-old mum and her 10-year-old son in their adapted bungalow.
Mum has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and paralysis from the hips down, meaning she is a wheelchair user.
She is incredibly independent, and your role will be to provide practical support that enables her to continue living life to the fullest.
Her son is autistic and has both a visual and hearing impairment.
This role is centred around promoting independence, supporting the family with day-to-day activities, and helping them enjoy everyday life together.
The Role
Accompanying Mum to appointments.
Supporting with shopping and errands.
Assisting with daily living activities.
Promoting independence through person-centred support.
Helping the family access the community and enjoy quality time together.
What We're Looking For
Female Support Worker (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010).
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).
Caring, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
