Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Science technician team, support teaching staff, and ensure the smooth running of practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up experiments for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and stock
- Support teachers and students during practical activities
- Ensure health & safety compliance in all science labs
- Train and supervise junior technicians where applicable
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience as a Science Technician in a secondary school
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in school science labs
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team
