Prosperity Law LLP is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing and vibrant Manchester Office as a Legal Assistant. Working within the Clinical Negligence team to support the fee earners in the team with a variety of Clinical Negligence related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting fee-earners in the management of their caseload of Clinical Negligence matters by undertaking various tasks as supervised by the fee-earners.
- Drafting documents and correspondence under supervision.
- Dealing with new enquiries.
- Updating and meeting with clients.
- Undertaking research to support fee earners.
- Obtaining medical records.
- Liaising with the courts.
- Liaising with a wide variety of 3rd parties in the course of progressing matters.
- Supporting fee earners with various administrative tasks and file/case management.
- Keeping up-to-date with key changes in the relevant law and procedure and ensuring that clients are informed of any changes that may affect them.
Requirements
- Strong technical IT skills.
- At least 2 years of experience in an assistant role in a Clinical Negligence team within a law firm.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service.
