As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of our specialist supported living services. You will support individuals with complex needs, including challenging behaviour, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Our services operate within structured and, where necessary, restrictive environments to ensure safety, stability, and wellbeing for both individuals and staff. You will ensure these environments are therapeutic, proportionate, and legally compliant, balancing risk management with dignity, choice, and person-centred care. You will lead teams to deliver consistent, high-quality support, embedding PBS approaches, maintaining clear routines, and ensuring restrictive practices are used appropriately, reviewed regularly, and only when necessary. Safeguarding, quality assurance, and staff development will be central to your role, alongside creating environments where individuals can live safely, meaningfully, and with respect.
What we are looking for in a Service Manager:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the supported living or social care sector.
- Experience of working in Specialist or equivalent services.
- Experience of working in or knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
- A deep understanding of person-centred care and a commitment to upholding the dignity and rights for the people we support.
- Ability to work in high pressured and physically challenging environments.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A full UK manual licence (held for 1+ year) and access to a vehicle for community visits.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and experience of implementing this in service.
- Level 5 Health and Social care/equivalent or willing to work towards.
