About the Role:
We are currently seeking a female Waking Night Support Worker to support a young woman in her early 20s with a diagnosis of a physical degenerative condition (TS), alongside severe learning disabilities and epilepsy. She is non-verbal and presents with complex behaviours, including frequent vocalisations and episodes of self-injurious behaviour, which can occur both during the day and night. She wears headphones due to sensory sensitivities and recurring ear infections. Support is provided on a 1:1 basis, with 4 hours of 2:1 on non-college days. She attends college in Stonehouse via taxi and benefits from a structured routine. Her known triggers include food, boredom, and pain, and a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan is in place to guide her care. The ideal candidate will be calm, observant, and confident in managing complex behaviours, with a proactive approach to supporting her comfort and wellbeing during night hours.
