This is a temporary fixed-term contract for one academic year, ideally to start on 1st September 2026 or during the Autumn term.

Main purpose of the job: The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The post holder will meet the Professional Standards for Teachers appropriate to their career stage and exercise professional judgement in carrying out their duties collaboratively.

Key purpose of the role: Secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Maths, ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leader, and ultimately the Headteacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across Maths
  • Contribute to the development of an ambitious Maths curriculum
  • Assess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventions
  • Work collaboratively within the Maths team to support the school’s vision
  • Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise
  • Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities
  • Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners
