We currently have an exciting number of opportunities for full-time or part-time Cover Supervisors to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) in Wythenshawe. We have two permanent posts available working either full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (14ā28 hours/2ā4 days per week), term time only plus 10 days including INSET days. Please clearly indicate your preferred working hours in the Pre-assessment Form.
This is a Grade 5 post with a fullātime equivalent salary of Ā£29,064. The proārata salary for fullātime is Ā£25,640 per annum; for partātime the proārata salaries are Ā£10,256 for 14 hours, Ā£15,384 for 21 hours, and Ā£20,512 for 28 hours.
Main purpose of the job: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning for our students by delivering preāplanned lessons during the shortāterm absence of teaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity to gain handsāon experience in a classroom environment and contribute to the wider life of our school.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, preāset lessons to whole classes
- Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Assessing student progress during cover lessons and updating records as required
- Supporting students across a range of subjects and activities
- Supporting curriculum areas and pastoral teams when not covering lessons
- Providing additional support to curriculum and pastoral teams
