We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Teacher to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent position on Teaching terms, MPS‑UPS to start in September 2026.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to teach and work in the UK with successful experience in the 11‑16 phase.
  • Have thorough subject knowledge and an understanding of current curriculum developments.
  • Be a good communicator with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and be passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
  • As a committed team player, possess excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Main Purpose of the Job

  • Teach a range of subjects to high school students at a high standard across the Academy, supporting planned and unplanned absences.
  • Improve the standards of learning and raise levels of student achievement for all students, fulfilling the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers.
