The predicted salary is between 8000 - 10000 ÂŁ per month.

Grade 2 fixed‑term post for 18 months, 35 hours per week all year round. Starting salary £24,796. The post holder will progress to Grade 3 after completing one year of service, provided good progress was demonstrated on the apprenticeship. Working across the schools is integral to this role; the ability to travel between schools with ease is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist technical IT support across Trust Academies, including the development and maintenance of infrastructure/resources and general support to staff and pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with all staff and parents/carers to support student well‑being and promote the values of the Trust and each school.
  • Under the direction of the Head of IT Services support the installation, maintenance, availability and security of the Trust‑wide network, hardware and software.
  • Make a key contribution to the development of and support provided by the IT Services Team across all schools through the provision and delivery of a highly effective service.

Training and Qualifications

Full training will be provided. Within the first 18 months you will complete a Level 3 in IT Engineering. Training sessions with the Trust and the Apprenticeship provider will be based at our Central Teams Office in Wythenshawe. Your course will include online learning, onsite assessment at work, tutorials and training activities within your role and the completion of a portfolio for assessment. You will be assigned a work‑based tutor who will guide and support you.

Career Progression

At the end of the fixed‑term appointment and upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to be appointed to a permanent post as an IT Engineer.
