This is a Grade 5, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £24,998 and the full‑time equivalent salary is £29,064.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the care of the school’s animals, promoting responsibility, wellbeing and hands‑on learning.
  • Support the structured curriculum, leading the resourcing and organisation within the structured department.
  • Assist pupils to develop animal care skills and collaborate with teachers to enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN) with a specialisation in animal care and structured curriculum. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, empathetic and tactful, able to build excellent interpersonal relationships with pupils, teachers, parents and external stakeholders, and work collaboratively to drive continuous improvement and support student success.
