Prospera Executive are supporting a leading digital education platform recently backed by a prominent mid-market private equity investor in the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. The business is profitable, founder-led, and has achieved significant global traction with minimal external capital to date. Now entering a new phase of accelerated growth, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping the strategic, commercial, and operational direction of the business alongside the CEO and investor.
Role Responsibilities
- Strategic Finance Leadership: Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board, contributing to long-term planning and value creation initiatives.
- Financial Operations: Lead and evolve all core finance functions, including reporting, FP&A, budgeting, cashflow management, and financial controls.
- Board & Investor Reporting: Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and board packs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Data & Decision Support: Develop a more sophisticated performance reporting and KPI framework to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
- International Scaling: Support the business through continued international expansion, navigating commercial and regulatory complexity.
- M&A: Support potential inorganic growth opportunities, including financial modelling, due diligence, and post-deal integration.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a senior finance leadership role within a high-growth, tech-enabled or digital business, ideally with international operations.
- Strong understanding of SaaS or recurring revenue models.
- Prior exposure to private equity or investor-backed businesses; understands the pace, rigour, and commerciality expected in this environment.
- Capable of building and developing a high-quality finance function from a lean starting point β hands-on, pragmatic, and low ego.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to contribute well beyond the numbers β a true business partner to the CEO.
