Operational Head of Solar & Installation Competitive basic salary + car allowance – OTE £100 + Prosper Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing young business that is projecting strong growth over the next 1-4 years. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operational Head of Solar Installations to spearhead the establishment of their new solar installation division for both domestic and commercial projects. This leadership role encompasses developing processes, obtaining necessary accreditations, recruiting a skilled team, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch solar installation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in solar energy, project management, and team leadership, with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy. This organisation has also secured significant funding to offer clients/customers a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), so instead of paying outright to purchase the solar panels, clients/customers agree to buy the electricity generated by the solar panels at a predetermined rate over a set period, typically 15 to 25 years, reducing their energy costs by 40% overnight. Therefore, they need an experienced Installation Manager/Operational Lead to set up the infrastructure necessary to facilitate their rapid growth. Responsibilities: Strategic Development: Establish the vision and strategic roadmap for the solar installation division. Develop operational processes and standards that align with company goals and industry best practices. Identify and pursue potential market opportunities and partnerships within the solar sector.Accreditation and Compliance: Research and obtain all relevant accreditations, certifications, and permits required for solar installations. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.Team Building and Management: Develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and hire skilled solar installation technicians and support staff. Lead, coach, and manage the solar installation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
