Prosper Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading retrofit decarbonisation provider, who specialises in sustainable building and energy efficiency within the social housing sector and more recently offering solutions for commercial, public, and residential projects. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor due to expansion.

Reporting into the Regional Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects under your control. You will manage the costs on each project whilst ensuring that the construction project is completed within its projected budget and in line with the contractual works programme.

  • Manage the Procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers on all contracts under your control.
  • Place all sub-contract orders in line with programme requirements, ensuring best price and contract adherence are achieved.
  • Comply with all deadlines listed within the company's Commercial Timetable.
  • Ensure a cost budget for each project is produced prior to works commencing.
  • Constantly update the cost budget for the scheme within the monthly contract CVR process.
  • Produce accurate monthly CVRs for each project, ensuring all cost heads have been reviewed for current costs and forecasted end of day costs.
  • Undertake a full analysis of each sub-contract package along with the company's value of the works, detailed within the CVR.
  • Review all variations and agree prices before any certification within sub-contract valuations.
  • Submit fully reviewed sub-contract valuations within the contractual timescales laid out in the sub-contract order.
  • Allow for all legal notifications required and adhere to the deadlines of such.
  • Ensure client valuations are submitted in line with contract terms.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly Excel.
  • Typical 2-5 years experience in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Energy efficiency and social housing experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
