Newcastle Bridges School – Support Staff (Kenton Site)

Location: Newcastle Bridges School, Drayton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE3 3RU.

Role Overview

We are seeking highly motivated, inspirational support staff to aid the education of vulnerable young people at Newcastle Bridges School. The successful candidate will contribute to supporting some of the most vulnerable young people within the city and surrounding areas, ensuring each child has access to a full-time, broad and balanced education appropriate to their potential and educational needs, and encouraging reintegration into mainstream where relevant. Newcastle Bridges School was judged by Ofsted to be ‘Outstanding’ in May 2022.

Qualifications

  • 4 GCSEs Grade C+/4+ (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 3 DfE recognised Teaching Assistant, SEND Assistant, EYFS or Childcare qualification, or higher qualification with relevant experience
  • Good ICT skills and the proven ability to use them effectively to support learning

Deployment

The successful candidate will be deployed initially at Newcastle Bridges School but will be expected to work at any Prosper Learning Trust site should the need arise.
